*UPDATE* After i finished this KAL, I put together a video tutorial on the Astoria Top. Check it out!
Well, these are crazy times.
It’s been over a month since my husband and I locked ourselves in our apartment. I remember when back in February, he had started to buy extra canned food “just in case”. Now we live in the epicenter of a pandemic.
But hey, I’ve been trying to look at the bright side. We’re both healthy, able to work from home, and I have my many fiber hobbies to keep my mind busy.
I know it’s been hard for everyone, some people more than others, so I consider myself lucky. And as part of that positivity I’ve been trying to put in the world, I decided it would be fun to hold a Knit along (or KAL) featuring my most summer-ready pattern the Astoria Knit Top.
I’ve been meaning to re-knit this one for a while and also to host a KAL for the first time ver, so why not now?
Join me in this #AstoriaTopKAL adventure, that begins today!

More info about the Astoria Top can be found in this blog post. If you would like to join, you can purchase the pattern in my Etsy and Ravelry stores.
Yesterday I began by frogging (unraveling, completely undoing) my original Astoria Top. Like I mentioned, I’ve been meaning to make it a bit longer, so I can wear it more like a regular crop. It’s a great lounge top too!

Today I will begin casting on. Things will go pretty quick after that! Will you join this KAL? If you are, make sure to tag your progress with #AstoriaTopKAL for me to follow along and share it. Can’t wait to see everyone’s tops!
